Student knits her own Ferrari

Art graduate Lauren Porter knitted a Ferrari sportscar for her honours degree at Bath Spa University.

The classic red bodywork consists of 250 squares of garter stitch made by Lauren and 20 family members and friends.

The windows are V-shaped stocking stitch, while the details are crochet and the badge is embroidered.

It's all supported by a steel frame which Lauren, 22, of Greatham, Hants, welded herself.

small group quilt day 1

So I worked on the small group quilt tonight. I got one of the bags done. As you can see in this picture. Yay! Sorry the picture is so dark. I'll retake it when it's all together of course.



This was the super easiest one though!

Then I started working on the one that looked the next easiest. I got a phone call so I couldn't finish it but here are all the have triangles I made for it! Craziness. Took me forever to make and iron.



See so crazy. It's going to look pretty good though I'm pretty sure. Well hopefully I'll have this done soon. These little triangles really took a while! *mumbles something about darn little triangles* I did half of these by the roll and half on my own. I'm not sure which one is better. I know people always rave about triangles on a roll but it's pretty easy to just do them by hand too. Oh well. It's cheaper to just do it by hand too. *knows the roll is pretty cheap but still too lazy to actually go and get it*
